About me
An Idaho native, I have lived a nomadic existence. Having lived in California, New Mexico, Oregon and Idaho, I have studied and painted the nuance of landscape and light, often amplifying the color to create an emotional effect. The subject matter ranges greatly from aspen trees to ocean waves, from cloudscapes to sea beds. Inspiration abounds and all present challenge and discovery.
My energy and appetite for creating have led to opportunity and surprise that continue to drive me. My work has been collected throughout the U.S.
About the work
My work is a reflection of the places that have inspired me as a painter for over 30 years. I create work with energy and color in an attempt to capture the emotion I felt when visiting these beautiful places. My goal is to convey my appreciation of these places through paint, in hopes that people will enjoy having them in their home and also inspire them to help preserve these and more beautiful places!
My original paintings are for sale as well as smaller, hand-embellished prints, in which the image wraps around the edges making framing optional.
